Universal Beams / Universal Columns

Universal Beams / Universal Columns have a web in the shape of a "H" or "I" that is flanked on either side by two parallel flanges to provide strong structural support and to shear pressures that prevent the section from bending include shattering, tearing apart or collapsing the flange. It is also known as I or H Beams and measured in metric or imperial units.
